Integrity Toys convention 2015: Cinematic Part V: One Of A Kind raffle dolls

A tradition that started a few years back continued again this year, with the introduction of four new OOAK (one of a kind) creations by the IT Design team, which convention guests could enter a raffle to win. There was one doll for each designer of the IT team. In addition to these four ultra rare dolls, convention guests also got to participate for the first time in raffles for chances to win their favourite complete collection of 2015.

OOAK Agnes Von Weiss Doll by IT Designer Vaughn Sawyers
Limited Edition of 1 Doll Only

Pretty in Pink. The cut of the dress reminds me a bit of Pale Fire Vanessa Perrin. Frothy and pink like cotton candy, quite a contrast to the serious looking Agnes. The jewellery is the same as the convention Natalia.

OOAK Vintage Inspired Doll by IT Designer Chris Stoeckel
Limited Edition of 1 Doll Only

Having Chris design for a Color Infusion doll probably seals the deal for Victoir Roux. She was nowhere to be seen in the convention (as well as the 16" girls) so I'm guessing she is not going to be seen again except probably for some special project. This one looks gorgeous, a bit like Betty Grable or any blonde 50s film star.

OOAK Poppy Parker Doll by IT Designer David Buttry
Limited Edition of 1 Doll Only

60s inspired Poppy with a gorgeous necklace. The fabric reminds me a bit of Chip's jacket from last year's Poppy collection.

OOAK Nu. Face Lilith Doll by IT Designer Jessy Ayala
Limited Edition of 1 Doll Only

This is very Atelier Versace Spring Summer 2015.

The styling of the doll is pure Hollywood glamour though, miles away from the modern catwalk styling of Versace.

Integrity Toys convention 2015: Cinematic Part II: The convention collection

Old Hollywood meets new Hollywood in this year's convention collection. It features key characters of the Fashion Royalty, Nu.Face and Poppy Parker collections dressed for various movie roles. While the Poppy Parker and core FR characters are wearing more retro inspired looks, the Nu.Face dolls are wearing modern versions of some of these looks. Each doll is limited to 600 pieces per style and comes complete with a doll stand.

Sparkle, Poppy, Sparkle!
Poppy Parker™ Dressed Doll
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition 600 Dolls

Beautiful Poppy Parker doll. I like the dress, although I'd prefer a thinner trim and bow. It reminds me a lot of Chanel. Have no idea which film it is referencing (the hairstyle looks late 60s) so if anyone can give us a clue, please feel free.

Item # PP094
The Beautiful People
Chip Farnsworth III™ Fashion Figure
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition 600 Fashion Figures

Chip makes an appearance (with his new sculpt) on Poppy's side. The blue tinted glasses are too contemporary for old Holywood glamour but he looks elegant in a sporty way. More British than US. Unfortunately, there is no belt under that jacket, he does sport a big signer ring though.

And here is the happy couple together. Beautiful people indeed.

Item # 91381
Feminine Perspective
Agnes Von Weiss™ Dressed Doll Mini-Giftset
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

One of the three best dolls in the entire convention is this Agnes. Channelling Marlene Dietrich, she is perfection. She actually has three outfits if you count the extra one given as a registration gift. Simply gorgeous. What's painfully obvious. No one (and no company making dolls yet) can make a proper top hat in doll size.

Item # 91382
Star Power
Vanessa Perrin™ Dressed Doll
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

This is a Marilyn Monroe outfit made by William Travilla, from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I was certain that Vanessa would have been picked to channel Marilyn and I was spot on. Pity she does not have the hat and leopard beauty bag. I love the cuff and earrings.

Item # 91386
Inner Spark Natalia Fatalé™ Dressed Doll
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

This was one of the most popular dolls of the collection. Natalia shines in an impressive black gown with embroidered ton-sur-ton overlay and silver jewellery. her smoky eyes and pale lips add to the impact. The gown reminds me a lot of the Going Places Vanessa gown (a convention doll from The Royal Life event) but in a simpler cut.

Item # 82063
Perfectly Suited
Giselle Diefendorf™ Dressed Doll
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

Giselle in a short, gamine hairstyle is a great idea and I love the suit that goes with it. I'd rather see high heeled sandals with it though, instead of the short boots. Is she channelling Julie Andrews in Victor Victoria? I love her make up too. She has stud earring but she wears a watch (much like last year's Adele and Elise) and a ring.

Item # 82064
In Rouges Erin S.™ Dressed Doll
Cinematic: The 2015 Integrity Toys Convention Collection
Limited Edition of 600 Dolls

Beautiful red haired Erin, in a nice panelled jagged hemline dress with fur bomber jacket. And red boots! And two rings! Which film character is she?

Integrity Toys convention 2015: Cinematic Part I: Welcoming cocktail and early registration

October is the month that Integrity Toys organises their convention every year, each time drawing a larger crowd. This year was no exception. It was held in Long Beach, California and produce a large number of dolls, all inspired or influenced a bit by this year's theme, Cinematic - Hollywood films and stars. The following posts will provide details and official photos of the dolls that were available in the convention.

Let's start with Wednesday and the early-bird welcoming cocktail. This was a first in the convention - a doll was available for the early bird registered attendees at the 20th anniversary cocktail that was given to celebrate. The staff of Integrity Toys was on hand to chat with guests. The price of the welcome cocktail ticket included a complimentary drink and the choice between one of either of two ITBE dolls. Guess which doll everyone wanted (but did not get).

Welcome Cocktail Dressed Doll A
The ITBE Collection
Limited Edition of 215 Dolls

Everyone of course wanted the Eden/Lilith sculpt but there were only 215 of them so the rest had to make do with the other doll available. I have no information about the body these dolls have but I'm guessing it is the new Nu Face one.

Heart Stopper
Welcome Cocktail Dressed Doll B
The ITBE Collection
Limited Edition of 215 Dolls

This one has the Natalia 1.0 sculpt which looks amazing. I much prefer this one than doll A.

As guests picked up their registration goodies, they each received a little black box that featured a complimentary issue of Haute Doll magazine, a free gift from Azone (an FR Nippon miniature tote if I remember correctly), their badge holder and a Fashion Royalty outfit sized to fit the FR2013 body and created as a companion piece to the Agnes Von Weiss mini gift set offered in the convention collection. The doll that is wearing it in the photo is the convention collection Agnes - more about her in the next post.

Lovely outfit, very 30s Hollywood (Adrian style) and with beautiful jewellery. It should have had a jewelled clutch to finish it off perfectly.

High Visibility Agnes Von Weiss

Last year, during the presentation for the main Integrity Toys collections, the event doll was none other then Agnes Von Weiss as a lovely gift-set. This incarnation of hers is called High Visibility and it caused a minor uproar among collectors at the time because her lips were not painted in her usual scowl but in a more straightforward line. I think it is interesting that changes like this appear from time to time on the dolls - it makes the characters more varied and nuanced. She;s a good looking doll and I really enjoyed taking her photos. The edition size of this doll is 1350, made according to the dolls ordered by event attendees.

She comes in a variety of clothing with great mix-and-match possibilities, not only between them but also with the other outfits of the Urban Safari Fashion Royalty line of 2014. These include a corset made in a thick patterned fabric. The thickness of it is a bit off and it makes the corset look huge, destroying its shape, despite the nice detailing with the criss-cross cords on the sides. The hooks for closure in the back do not help either - it would have been better using a zip. The long skirt flares from below the knee. It looks good and matches the rest of the pieces nicely in colour and fabric. The shape though would hold much better if the fabric used was stiffer. It has a zip at the back, which again makes me wonder about not using one on the corset too.

The rest of the pieces make up a day-time outfit: a cropped, sleeveless jacket made of suede, with a belt and buckle closure on the side, over a skirt made in the same fabric as the corset. Remember that Faded Desert Kyori had a skirt made in another shade of this fabric (and the criss-cross detail missing here). You can tell the fabric is too thick by the awkward waist - it does not even have a waistband - not possible with a thick fabric like this. This is a detail that makes the skirt look unfinished and cheap, despite the luxurious texture.

Lots of accessories to use as well. Two pairs of shoes (white strapped sandals and dark brown strapped pumps, both with extra lacing which I could not figure out how to tie properly (hence the sloppy look or total photoshopping of them on the photos). An extra company photo of the shoes properly tied would have helped a lot. There is also a huge tote and a brown straw hat along with sunglasses (in lilac) which are the same style used throughout the Urban Safari outfits. The hoop earrings are a colour variation of the ones Faded Desert Kyori is wearing as well, as are two of her bracelets. Excellent colour co-ordination throughout.

She has an intricate hairstyle - a middle part, with hair swept backwards in two waves, and then forms a double bun at the back. The copper shade matches her Japan skin-tone, as does her make up - coppery eye-shadows and orange-red lipstick.

As I had recently acquired some Silkstone Barbie outfits, I decided to try them on Agnes.and they do fit well, despite the height difference (the skirts just look a bit shorter).

Here she is wearing the Boater Ensemble from the BFC Barbie Silkstone doll of the same name. She absolutely rocks it. I just added the Lady Dior inspired bag from the Fashion Royalty Fashion Spectacular accessories set. Even the tights fit (very tight though due to the length of the legs). I did not try to put on the gloves as they look like oven mittens. She is also wearing another Fashion Royalty bracelet.

Under the jacket is a lovely two-toned dress that looks fantastic on its own as well. I should have put on her a couple of Chanel-style chain necklaces or even a chain belt, they would look lovely with this. The spectator pumps fit perfectly.

The second outfit is from the Capucine Silkstone Barbie doll. Again it fits her nicely and the skirt looks a lot like her own - albeit in the stiffer fabric better suited to this shape. Here you can tell how her height makes the skirt look short. The shoes and jewellery are from On The Rise Elise Jolie from the Urban Safari line. This outfit reminds me a lot of Gianfranco Ferre's work at Dior.

Integrity Toys Gloss Convention 2014: part III - Saturday gala and Convention doll

Friday night had a Halloween themed party, so every attendee got to dress up with their costumes. They also got a nice Fashion Royalty outfit as a gift. The final event on Saturday night was the convention gala. It was highly anticipated, not only as the culmination of the whole convention but as the moment when the convention doll would be revealed. There was also a centerpiece doll. Let's check them out.

Illustrious Luxury Wear Costume (Outfit only)
Official Convention Souvenir
Limited Edition of 500 Outfits
Note: Prototype doll below is not included; it's for displaying the outfit only.

In theme with the disco style that we saw in the convention collection (which will be presented in another post), it reminds me a lot of the Vanessa centerpiece purple outfit.

Saturday Evening Gala Event dolls
Both dolls below are wearing outfits based on looks from Jason Wu's real Spring 2014 Collection (just like last year with Vanessa and Elise). Each outfit is posted after the doll.

Elise Jolie™ Dressed Doll
Official Table Centerpiece
Limited Edition of 300 Dolls

This is a gorgeous Elise - I wish she was part of the normal collection instead of convention! Gorgeous doll and amazing, sharp outfit. You cannot see it but she has a fantastic clasp on her low ponytail. Simply brilliant. The best doll in the whole convention for me.

The Jason Wu real outfit that Elise's was based on is below:

Intimate Reveal
Agnes Von Weiss™ Dressed Doll
Official Convention Souvenir Doll
Limited Edition of 500 Dolls

Since she had not appeared in any guise during the previous days, it was rightly assumed that Agnes would be making an appearance as the convention doll. She looks like a cross between Silver Zinger and High Gloss. Gorgeous doll but not as perfect as Elise.

Her gown is shown below in its real life version, on the Spring/Summer Jason Wu catwalk.
