W Club informed tis members that they get first hands on an IT Direct right-to-buy lottery for a new doll from The Jason Wu Collection. She is a new sculpt, named Iselin, probably after the model Iselin Steiro, who is a Norwegian fashion model. She begun her career in 2003, has even been in a David Bowie video and is now co-designer of an underwear line. She has not appeared in a fashion magazine or ad since 2018.

A new sculpt eh? First of all, I don’t think she remotely looks like the real Iselin. At least not with this make up. Maybe a repainter could make the sculpt look more like the real model (who is more good looking then the doll). She does remind me a lot of Elyse Jolie: the cheekbones, the nose and lips, the small eyes. And she also reminds me of Melania Trump, which is not good.
The dress: tulle ballgown with straps and crystal embroidery - groundbreaking. Seriously, how long are we going to be getting bland Jason Wu originals with minimal accessories for exorbitant prices? This smacks money grab to me and nothing else. She does not even have the velvet skin to justify the price. What next? Probably a doll with a miniature faucet, from the new line that Jason does for Brizo. The gown was the finale dress for his Fall 2018 Collection, worn on the runway by Kiki Willems.
