The third mini capsule collection revealed in Saturday’s Integrity Toys event was Meteor. Vaughn presented two gorgeous dolls - one is a new character and one was Zuri in a smashing new look. Both are available for dealers, but with the limited editions, they might sell out quickly. I’m betting this would have given us even more gorgeous dolls had Vaughn been able to make a full collection with all the line’s characters. The 70s inspiration is a great fit both to the designer’s talent and the line and it shows.

I am willing to bet that Navia’s sculpt is a failed Colette 2.0 attempt used as a new character - they are practically twins. Not loving the head shape or the print. The glasses are cute but she is missing a bag. I’m puzzled by the use of FR body instead of Nu Face, which would fit the character much better IMHO. She might be coming out but she’s definitely not coming home. The dress is almost an exact copy (boots and all) of the opening number from Fausto Puglisi’s Fall 2019 RTW collection - the print was inspired by an Ottoman carpet he picked up at Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, as Puglisi said back then.

This is Donna Summer in doll form! When asked, Vaughn said he got inspiration for other 70s singers too (the Every Woman title surely refers to the Chaka Khan song I’m Every Woman) but she looks so much like Donna with that make up and hairstyle and the open mouth, it’s uncanny. I’m happy I got confirmed for her, she’s Hot Stuff! There is a confusion about her outfit: during the presentation, Vaugh said it is one piece, but the description from IT says blouse and palazzo pants. Will update with more info when available.
