A new East 59th Collection was presented to W Club members, created of course by Integrity Toys' designer Chris Stoeckel. It is the Adornments Collection and the story-line says that Laird Drake's agency just signed a very lucrative deal with Adorn, one of New York City's most prestigious luxury jewellers, to launch a smashing ad campaign promoting some of their most elaborate jewellery. So you can expect lots of gems and glamour in the designs. Here is Chris talking about the collection:
Most of the dolls are available via Integrity Toys' authorized dealers, Constance Madssen is an IT Direct doll and was only be available via a right-to-buy lottery in the W Club.

The Story:
How lucky can a gal be? Even if it's just for a few fleeting moments, Lady Aurelia Grey is thrilled to have been offered the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear one of Adorn Jeweller's most intricate creations! In a moment sure to go down in fashion history, she's sure to be remembered as "the face" who wore one of the most intricate Amethyst jewellery sets ever created! Designed by Chris Stoeckel.
Included:
12-inch articulated doll with rooted hair, braided in an up-do, as well as hand-applied eyelashes;
Form-fitting knee-length brocade cocktail dress with contrasting jewel-tone bust line;
Short-sleeve faux fur jacket;
Jewel-tone faux-leather handbag with woven chain shoulder strap;
"Amethyst" encrusted bib necklace and matching earrings;
Statement pumps with "Amethyst" detail;
Pair of long-manicured hands;
Pair of alternate short-gloved hands;
Doll stand;
Certificate of authenticity.
What a lovely lady! Aurelia looks amazing and the whole set exudes luxury and glam in the proper style of the era the story unfolds. It is great to see different colouring on the make up of these dolls - the purple tones compliment the outfit and the amethyst jewellery perfectly. I would have preferred a fabric stole instead of the fur bolero, bringing the whole set more towards an evening ensemble. Chris said she also references Purple Factor Adèle Makeda from 2003.

Love Knot Of Gold
Victoire Roux™ Dressed Doll
The East 59th® The Adornments Collection

Head Sculpt: Victoire 2.0
Body Type: E59 1.0
Foot Sculpt: High-heeled
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Color: Honey Blonde
Eyelashes: Yes, Hand-applied
The Story:
The image of sophistication, Victoire Roux nailed the role of city chic in the latest ad campaign for New York's very own Adorn Jewellers! Dressed in a stylish creation by Chris Stoeckel, Victoire is the perfect model to showcase the "Love Knot Of Gold", one of the purest pieces of gold jewellery ever crafted by man!
Included:
12-inch articulated doll with short rooted hair, styled in a fabulous finger-wave look, as well as hand-applied eyelashes;
Sleeveless/backless form-fitting knee-length houndstooth cocktail dress;
Removable houndstooth shawl/cape;
Fabulous black head-wrap;
Black patent "leather" handbag;
Black patent "leather" pumps with cut-out sides;
Golden knotted cuff bracelet and golden earrings;
Pair of long-manicured hands;
Pair of alternate full-length gloved hands;
Doll stand;
Certificate of authenticity.
The problem with most Victoire dolls is that they are gorgeous yet usually look alike so much that I do not get them, missing out on gorgeous outfits like this. The pattern looks more like gingham than houndstooth (as the description says). Love the headband. The bag looks like a Birkin (which was introduced in 1984), which is quite the anachronism, as a Kelly would be much more suitable and era appropriate. Guess Hermès stole the design from someone, right?

Right Time Of Night
Laird Drake® Fashion Figure
The East 59th® The Adornments Collection
Edition Size: 750
Expected Ship Date: September 2023
MSRP: $160 + S & H
AVAILABLE ONLY FROM IT DEALERS
Head Sculpt: Laird
Body Type: Homme 1.5
Skin Tone: FR White
Hair Colour: Light Brown
The Story:
When he signed the deal with Adorn, Laird Drake did not hesitate to immediately reserve a spot on the cover of his favourite gentlemen's magazine for him to appear on in person, because, after all, save for maybe his beau, he knew that he was the only man in New York who could correctly model Adorn's line of ultra-masculine high-end timepieces! The company's lead designers did not even try to argue; there was no point fighting it, Laird Drake was just the most elegant man in the City!
Included:
12.75-inch articulated fashion figure with a combination of sleek rooted and flocked hair;
Perfectly tailored tuxedo ensemble, a complete with dinner jacket, trousers, shirt, cummerbund and bow tie;
Patent "leather" dress shoes;
White dress socks;
Removable boutonniere;
Golden watch;
Doll stand;
Certificate of authenticity;
Laird looks like Leonardo di Caprio a lot in this new incarnation. Both hairstyle and face-paint are so much different than the first Laird released. He looks very glamorous in his white tie ensemble. The white socks are jarring on this - they are NEVER worn with anything for evening dress, much less a white tie suit. Chris said he wanted to have a break from the pants to the shows, to make the latter pop more but… He added that it is also a nod to Audrey wearing white socks with black loafers in Funny Face, which is something totally different of course. Also cummerbunds are usually left to black-tie dressing or musicians in swing bands when it comes to white tie, a waistcoat is the proper item. At least the pants look like they have two galon as is proper. When are we going to see a proper jacket with tails in these retro era gents? If he had one I would have snatched him in a second. His forehead is low for my taste. EDIT: the production dolls look like they have a much higher hairline than the prototype.

The Story:
Every major ad campaign needs a show-stopping "piece de resistance" and it is a well-known fact that picking just the right "face" can either make or break any perfectly orchestrated plan. With this in mind, Laird Drake had the genius to cast Constance Madssen as his leading cover girl. With the only diva in town who could rival in beauty with the vibrant blue of the most luxurious topaz ever set in gold at the helm, the East 59th Agency set the tone on how precious jewels should be advertised forever!

12-inch articulated doll with long rooted hair and hand-applied eyelashes;
Show-stopping multi-layered couture gown, constructed in a jewel-tone brocade, with attached tulle underskirt and a flower ornament attached to the bust line;
Pair of matching brocade panties;
Maxi-length slim skirt, adorned with a bouquet of flowers at the waist (the bouquet is not detachable);
Statement necklace and earring set drenched in "blue topaz";
Black clutch purse;
Black pumps with "blue topaz" ornaments;
Pair of long-manicured hands;
Pair of alternate full-length gloved hands;
Doll stand;
Certificate of authenticity.
Easily the best doll of the collection, Constance looks amazing here, reminding me a lot of Maria Callas. Appropriately enough, this year is the 100th anniversary from her birth. She also reminds me of a Latina superstar, María Félix, which just had a doll released by Mattel. The gown is spectacular and I love the vinyl gloves, even though the material should have been different to match the era. She has the best jewellery of all the dolls and I think a small, crown-like hair ornament would have completed the ensemble. Even her shoes are bejewelled. Happy to say I won her at the lottery!
You can see the dolls in the video below:
