The Chemist is fashionably late... on time for the Greek Revolution's 200th anniversary

If you are on the Superdoll mailing list, you got an email a few days ago that a new doll was arriving on the 25th of March - and here she is! Chemist is a gorgeous Venus resin doll, dressed in a fantastic outfit that, combined iwth the banner she was photographed with, reminded me of heroines of the Greek Revolution of 1821 that gave Greece its independence from the Ottoman Empire. The crazy coincedence is that she is released on the very day the Greek Revolution celebrates its 200th anniversary. Love it. Gorgeous blunt curved fringe and below waist length dead straight wig. Classic edge; bearing white double bow detail beside her face. Sky blue eyes surround in shades of red and dark violet with shaded purple under eye, fine black eyeliner, dusted lids and etched charcoal double wing eyeliner to top. Lips of illuminated red.

Extraordinary billowed gown of white corseted bodice and croissant hip patisseries,' CAPTURED BY ATTRACTION' then 'FALLING WITH LOVE' to the ground in a volumous statement. Front bodice is adorned in bias cut red satin bandeau in a 'cross my heart I LOVE YOU' symbolic gesture while bleeding tears are wiped onto her reverse satin skirt... the 'PAIN OF LOVE' veiled by triple layer superfine tulle 'PETALS OF JOY'. Pidgin Doll Spring 2019 collection is unveiled!

The Pidgin dolls are created by the extremely talented and wonderful Joshua David McKenney, an artist, sculptor, doll-maker extraordinaire and fashion illustrator. He just released the Spring 2019 collection of Pidgin Doll and here they are in all their glory. (Availability according to the Pidgin website at time of posting). The dolls are 16, all one of a kind and are ball-jointed 1:4 scale, made in resin. You can find their exact measurements in their website. That’s where you can buy them as well. Phyn And Aero dolls first release

One of the new ways that Robert Tonner will release dolls from now on is the Phyn And Aero brand, in collaboration with Andrew Yang. They just made their first official release available to order, so let's see what are these dolls all about. One of the characters, Annora Monet, is designed by Robert, while another, Kadira, who will be released later in the year, is by Andrew Yang. The dolls are resin and ball-jointed. Their styling falls somewhere between character dolls and fashion dolls. They all come with their own storyline, which you can read in the company website. The whole thing is like a revamp of their Deja Vu line, with much better sculpts and in resin. There are three dolls, three outfits and you can buy separately sets of eyes. The brand also makes an effort to give doll artists the opportunity to collaborate with Robert Tonner, releasing their doll through it.

V.JOHN releases his first doll - Devoted Affair Molly Hayward

Most fashion doll collectors are already familiar with the name V.JOHN - they snap up his limited edition fashions for their dolls the moment they become available. Now he has designed his very own resin doll, named Molly Hayward and she is a limited edition of 20, available on his website. She is a beautiful doll with a distinct personality and a mixed Asian/American style. I love that he picked copper/auburn hair for his first doll. She looks good posing too.
