Agnes Von Weiss, the 2014 online event doll, is a fully articulated 12.5-inch vinyl fashion doll with an polished hairstyle and hand-applied eyelashes. The Baroness' look is composed of a two-piece jacquard ensemble with laced-up eyelet details and a faux-suede sleeveless biker inspired top. Agnes also sports a fashionably tall straw hat, sunglasses and an oversized purse. The outfit completely transforms by changing into a long mermaid skirt, revealing a bustier top. Two pairs of shoes, jewelry and doll stand also included. For adult collectors ages 15 and up.

Another Agnes as an event doll - she is after all designated as a character that is available only at events. The gift set offers a great opportunity to mix and match, and also fits with most of the other Safari collection pieces, so endless possibilities there. The price is the same as for a regular doll so it's value for money too. The doll looks good, although I had to look at the close up photo to make up my mind about getting her. The lipstick looks as if it is not following her trademark frown. It does not look bad but it is not a classic Agnes expression. Again, this is only a prototype doll. And, yes, hoop earrings again. Meh.

The Premiere: Integrity Toys 2013 Convention Collection

Each annual Integrity Toys convention has a collection designed especially for it. Attendees can either pre-order the entire collection months before (sight unseen) but also have the option to wait until the actual event to make their purchases and pick the dolls they like. On Thursday, the new FR collection designed by Jason Wu and Vaughn Sawyers, along with a great Poppy Parker doll created by David Buttry, was presented to attendees. The Integrity Toys Souvenir Shop was all dressed up in white just for the occasion. Let's see the dolls:

October Issue
Agnes Von Weiss™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

Agnes is always popular and she is an event-only doll (apart some WClub exlusives) so she's always a part of the convention collection. I read some comments on social media, saying that she's dressed like a maid, but I have not seen many maids wearing miniature crock pumps and a large "diamond" ring. She has a certain French vibe, like a model from a Guy Bourdain photo session or a Helmut Newton one. Gorgeous.

Paparazzi Darling
Adèle Makéda™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

This Adele looks even more like Olivia Pope then her previous incarnations. Ever since the change of sculpt, she keeps reminding me more and more of her with every release. I love the top but would have preferred it asymmetrical rather than this more conservative option.

Item # 91325
Bittersweet
Eugenia Perrin-Frost™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

A beautiful Eugenia, with violet eyes and red hair! I love the dress too, both colour and cut are amazing. The only thing out of place is those pink lips - a coral shade would look so much more modern and would compliment both her hair and outfit.

Item # 91326
Breathless
Véronique Perrin™
Dressed Doll 2013
Convention Collection Exclusive

The first of the two Veros in the collection. I have no idea why there had to be two Veros, why not Kyori or another of the many characters of the FR universe? This one looks gorgeous though, and the detail of the back of her jacket is lovely. Shoes look great too, pity the rest of the accessories are basic. And I just noticed that there are no bags to be seen throughout the collection. Hope this trend does not transfer to the 2014 Integrity collections.

Item # 91327
Brazen Beauty Natalia Fatalé™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

This Natalia is almost a dead ringer for Miami Glow Vanessa Perrin - the colouring, the hair, the gold accents, the embroidery, everything reminds me of her.Beautiful but a bit boring. I like Natalia more in darker colouring.

Item # 91328
Bewitching
Véronique Perrin™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

This is the aforementioned second Vero doll. She looks a bit different in her eye design. The dress is nothing extraordinary but she has nice jewellery (with a ring!) and lovely black patent stiletto pumps with red insteps.

Item # PP054
Star in the Making
Poppy Parker™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

Poppy is a dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's here - but in white instead of black. If they had released this type of Poppy instead of the Holly sculpt in the BAT collection, it would have been so much better. Amazing doll. We want more like this one in the regular collection please.

The Premiere: Integrity Convention 2013 - Day I

The annual Integrity Toys convention is always a major event both for the company and the many fashion doll collectors that covet the exclusive dolls presented during the proceedings. It is also the moment of the year when important announcements are made for the company's future collections. The first day was Thursday, 31st of October, Halloween! Let's see what happened over in Los Angeles, where the event takes place this year. It is called The Premiere, probably because the new FR doll body is officially premièring in this collection (it unnoficially made its début with the exclusive FR2 Purity Dasha doll). It also celebrates ten years of annual conventions, making it even more special.

First thing to do when attending a convention is, of course, registering! Each guest received a welcome swag bag that contained a welcome envelope, a copy of the latest DOLLS Magazine and as is the norm these past few years, a doll: this time it was an FR:Monogram doll which will probably become a giftset with various outfits and accessories given throughout the duration of the convention. She is a lovely Monogram and one of the last released as the line will be discontinued.

Although the workshops that are part of the convention are starting on Friday, the attendees received their kits upon registration - more dolls!

Another beautiful Victoire, fpr me one of the best released so far. She has a dress too, although usually the workshop dolls come nude.

Poppy Parker™

2013 Convention Collection Exclusive

This Poppy is ready for her make up session! Simple yet lovely. Workshop Poppy dolls are usually extremely popular.

Item # 93034
Shining Star
FR: Monogram™
Workshop Doll
2013 Convention Exclusive

Another Monogram doll! They might be discontinued but they will go out with a bang. She's very beautiful and makes me wonder why the last couple of years of this line did not have dolls like this in their collections. Sigh.

Item # 91314A
W Cosmetics Hair Care
Fashion Royalty®
Workshop Doll
2013 Convention Exclusive

This is an Elise doll, one of the best Elise releases I have seen. She has the new FR2 body like Purity Dasha and the rest of the FR convention collection. Wish I could get this one but it will definitely have a forbidding price on the secondary market.

The evening had an event scheduled in the ballroom and attendees could wear their Halloween costume! There was a costume parade so that everyone could admire the effort and imagination of the costumed members! People who had attended all ten conventions got a silver trophy from Integrity as a memento. Of course there was a centerpiece doll for the event, and this was none other than...

After Tonight
Eugenia Perrin-Frost™
Dressed Doll
2013 Convention Exclusive Centerpiece

She's breathtakingly beautiful and very retro looking. With the grey brows, she reminds me of Gene Marshall. Pity the full skirt hides the pink booties! The centerpiece dolls are raffled to their respective tables so there were some really happy people coming out of that ballroom! But everyone got a doll: there was one as a give away and it was...

A tan Agnes is surely a great way to end the first day of the convention. Which also included the presentation of the convention collection, coming up in the next post.

Integrity Tropicalia Convention 2012: Welcome to Paradise

This year, Integrity Toys held the annual convention in Orlando, Florida, 27-30/9/2012. The theme was "Tropicalia" so it kind of matched the location - Florida is as tropical as one can get in the US I think! Guests who arrived early at the hotel could take part in the "Welcome Cocktail By the Pool" party on Wednesday evening. It was a chance to get the party started early and meet up with friends, old and new. Everyone had a great time, anxious for Thursday and the official start of the convention to arrive.

While the Integrity Team was busy working on the finishing touches Thursday morning, more convention attendees began arriving at the hotel. At registration, each guest received a welcome swag bag that contained a welcome envelope, a pair of shoes for their dolls, and a complimentary DOLLS Magazine. As a special surprise, guests received a Fashion Royalty doll box with a gorgeous fashion and accessories as part of the swag. What other surprises does Integrity have in store for the convention attendees?

Following registration, guests started to queue up for the Integrity sales-room  Guests could also take the opportunity to visit the Museum, the raffle room and enter their competition entries. The Thursday night event started with a meet and mingle get together before the ballroom doors opened. As the doors opened for the first official event on Thursday night, guests walked into a ballroom that was absolutely "tropical"! The theme for this event was "Welcome to Paradise" and the "hostess with the mostess" of the event was none other than...Agnes Von Weiss!

Agnes Von Weiss Dressed Doll
2012 Tropicalia Convention Exclusive Table Centerpiece

Agnes is tan, as most ladies in the convention are (in tune with the theme of course) and is wearing a flowing turquoise dress with tan and gold accessories. She is lovely (and only the 2nd tan Agnes ever) but she reminds me of a toned down Miami Glow Vanessa. Intriguing shoes though.
Each attendee also was given the beautiful "Wrap-ture" Anja doll as another gift at this event. So whereas Agnes was a centrepiece and was raffled to the attendees (one per table of ten), Anja was a gift to all.

Wrap-ture
Anja™ Dressed Doll
2012 Tropicalia Convention Exclusive Table Giveaway

Anja looks more like Veronique here than before.I am not a fan of crinkled hair but I like her lip colour and the shoes and dress look great.

Three of the special limited edition hair colour variations of one of the IFDC dolls were raffled off at Thursday's event.! The dolls have an edition size of only of nine dolls and three dolls per day were raffled on stage. Apart from that, attendees were treated to a very special "Jem and The Holograms" presentation and the next dolls in this collection were unveiled. Not only were attendees given this first sneak peek at the new dolls, but everyone was given a very special set of Jem ear phones (below). Guests also received a pair of doll-sized beach chairs as part of their swag too.

So the convention was off to a special start and I am sure it made attendees excited for the dolls to come in the following days.

Integrity Toys 2012 release: On-line event exclusive doll

Of course every event has an exclusive doll: Integrity gives W Club members the chance to order a doll made exclusively for them, with a very small window of ordering her, usually 24-48 hours after the event ends. The official 2012 W Club Online Event Exclusive was presented by Alain Trembley, who said this was one of the best dolls ever offered and one of his very favourites: the "Truly, Madly, Deeply" Baroness Agnes Von Weiss mini gift set. She is after all an event character and a crowd pleaser so it makes sense.

Item #91302 Truly Madly Deeply Baroness Agnes Von Weiss™ Mini Gift Set 2012 Online Unveiling Event Exclusive Limited Edition: TBA Estimated Arrival: Early Summer 2012 Suggested Retail: $150.00 US

Agnes, in her latest incarnation, looks like a cross between her Festive Decadence and Optic Verve editions, with a touch of Royal Von Weiss thrown in for good measure. She comes dressed in a chartreuse two-piece evening gown. The skirt has a long train and peplum attached, looking very much like Gene Marshall's Ransom in Red outfit (of course that one was red, I have it and is one of my favourites). The whole look is very 40's and early 50's. She could be Lauren Bacall or Susan Hayward.

The second outfit is a coral suit, with an embroidered side-slit skirt. The jacket is short, with 3/4 sleeves trimmed in fur. She has a matching bag. The suit can be worn with the chartreuse top from the other outfit as well.

The accessories are the same for both outfits: a coral bag, matching peep-toe pumps, a chartreuse bracelet and coral earrings. The jewellery are styled much like Dania's or Jordan's from the FR collection. But Agnes also has a matching coral ring. She's a gorgeous doll and of course I ordered her from the club.
