Lilith Blair is on a Natural High!

After the previous open edition basic doll release from Integrity Toys less than a month ago, we have a new one: One of the infamous NU Face twins, Lilith Blair, is appearing as Natural High, available on Thursday 8th of April for order, with the same procedure that was followed for the Poppy Parker basic edition. I am certain that she will be as popular as Poppy was. In other news, Integrity Toys is looking for a professional photographer to work with them, so send in those emails. Wicked Narcissism Eugenia is arriving at the end of April or early May, Pretty Reckless Rayna will arrive to dealers this coming week, while Alexandra will be arriving alongside Eugenia. The company has updated their warranty terms, which are available here, and I think this is the first time I am seeing specific time limits for the different parts that constitute a doll. The lowest time limit for a warranty is four months, and with the mail delays currently afflicting the entire world (no matter which mail carrier one picks), it is not good. Integrity should give this at least six months, as it regards crucial doll parts that are usually problematic as the doll screening and hair rooting, the outfit and the accessories (the body is still under the one year period). With problematic dolls, especially in larger editions, becoming more often lately, this sucks big time.

The Blair twins might be very popular with Integrity Toys doll collectors but with me they are mostly miss and rarely a hit. I have a few in my collection but I find their sculpt too generic and without character. This one is a sister to the 2017 Fairytale convention Changing Winds Eden (Jessy said so in his Instagram post about this one) and I definitely prefer Lilith. I might try to get her now, but then again, I was saying the same for Poppy and I did not even bother. She’s in the darker natural colours that I like so that is definitely a plus.

Integrity Toys releases a new trans doll - and she's a Billion Dollar Baddie

As promised in W Club emails, we had a live presentation with Alain Trembley, Carol Roth and Jessy Ayala last Friday. After giving us news about the convention - it will be virtual this year too, with more participants but less dolls - and a Jem and The Holograms giftset, we got down to business: the unveiling of two new Nu Face dolls that belong to the Reckless Behavior collection, a continuation of the popular 2016 Reckless line. One is Rayna (again! surely Jesse loves this sculpt) and the much awaited Latinx new character, Alejandra Luna. She’s trans and although the first in a main line release, she’s not the first trans doll Integrity Dolls have made. In 2006, Jason Wu designed Amanda Lepore doll for them, a collection of three wigged dolls made from RealSkin resin which mimicked porcelain. Contrary to those very limited editions, Alejandra, alongside Rayna, will be available from dealers - where I hear they are mostly sold out already. The price is $160.00, same as FR dolls were last year.. Wild Feeling Rayna’s mini giftset in December was $175.00, but honestly these two are more value for money.

I was not expecting Rayna to make an appearance so soon after her last one in December, but here she is. And I definitely do not mind as she is breathtaking! While Jessy said she has Natural Wonder Rayna’s screening (another gorgeous Rayna I am the lucky owner of), she reminds me much more of Rock Me, Baby Rayna from the 2012 IFDC convention. Her outfit is amazing and very detailed. I love the eyelet detail and the layering over the mesh t-shirt. The accessories are top-notch: we have the Nu Face choker making an appearance again, as well as a repeat of the teddy-bear backpack, but in a BDSM fetish style. The shrunk leather cap with rhinestone studs is perfection, as well as the unusual gloves and N/F earrings, Hair barrettes, a ring, bracelets and booties complete the look. I was lucky enough to be confirmed for her.

First main line trans doll Alejandra Luna is a gorgeous doll that rocks a fiery outfit. Her sculpt is beautiful and modern, without suffering from the bloated head syndrome that some other new sculpts have. Jessy said she took a lot of time to fine tune and was inspired (more in essence and not exact look) by the trans Bosnian/Australian model/actress Andreja Pejic. I do not see any connection but maybe if we get a version with colours closer to Andreja’s, we might see something. Jessy also said she was made to look like a younger Eugenia Perrin. He said that the hair in the production doll might not be as long. The look is reminiscent of Zerina Akers’ work with Beyoncé. and I love it. The dress has something of Clash Control Erin, the shoes are from Alexander McQueen ad the bag looks like the Balenciaga Hourglass bag. Got confirmed for her as well, so I’m happy!

It’s the W Club registration period! From today and until the 8th of March 2021, you can register for membership (one or many) of the W Club and join in! If you read the blog regularly, you already have a good idea of the variety of offerings and privileges that the Club confers to members. What a gorgeous Nadja! She brings to mind a reworked London Show and this will be one of the reasons she will be popular with collectors. Elyse is back after a hiatus that lasted all of 2020 - and as an upgrade doll, which is a first for this character, as for Nadja. The skin tone used is a first for Elyse too, she has never been released as an A-tone doll. Jessy said she is an homage to the famous supermodel Iman. She does remind me a bit of her, but her features are quite different. Previous dark skinned Elyse dolls were the second Net-A-Porter 10th Anniversary Jason Wu doll, Seduisante and Luminous, but this one has the darkest skin tone of all. The outfit has been hard to pin down regarding inspiration - many people were reminded of the Fall 2020 Oscar De La Renta collection but there is no dress there that matches Elyse’s. The accessories are beautiful - the bag is like the one Legendary Status Agnes has. I am on the fence about this one, but will probably cave in.

This Poppy, apart from being an upgrade doll, is the first to be released from this year’s Palm Springs Poppy collection. She has the same screening as the Heads Up yellow haired Poppy from the 2019 convention Style Lab. She is the second Poppy with pink hair, after Ciao! Poppy, but this one has a lighter shade of pink. Many people commented that they did not have pastel coloured hair in the sixties - which is completely wrong! You can check some examples here, here and here - or just google it! She gives me Kim Novak vibes - but in an innocent, fluffy way, in contrast with the dark, ominous style of the famous actress. Even though I am still thinking about getting her or not, I most probably will.

How do I become part of the W Club?

From now until March 8th, 2021 you can qualify for the 2021 W Club by submitting a registration form and completing your payment. You can start your registration by clicking the “Agree/Join” button at the top or bottom of this page. No registrations will be accepted after March 8th, 2021 at 5 PM Eastern time (New York time). No exceptions.

For how long is my 2021 W Club membership valid?

Memberships are valid until the latter of January 1, 2022 or when the 2022 W Club membership registration period begins.

As a member, will I be guaranteed every exclusive item from the W Club?

Every member in good standing will be guaranteed the right to purchase at least 5 exclusive dolls, which will be offered at various times throughout the Club year, including the 2 Fashion Royalty / NU. Face exclusive dolls, 2 exclusive Poppy Parker dolls, and 1 additional exclusive doll during 2021.

Members that added upgrade dolls during registration are guaranteed those upgrade doll(s), as well. There will be other limited items which will be available by lottery or first-come, first-served opportunities. Please note that membership in the W Club does not guarantee access to Integrity Toys’ non-Club exclusive dolls and accessories. None of the dolls available through the Integrity Toys’ authorized dealers can be purchased through the W Club and are not W Club exclusive items.

How many 2021 Club memberships can I purchase?

The club is not restricting the number of memberships by collector or household. However, memberships are non-transferable and cannot be shared.

I live outside of the US. May I still become a member?

Absolutely! Membership is available to residents of all countries worldwide. Please note that all news releases and information will be released in English only.

I would like the W Club information sent to me via regular mail; can the club do that?

This is an online only Club and all members must have access to a valid email address.

What forms of payment does the club accept?

All payments are processed through Integrity Toys’ online shopping cart system. They accept Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). They also accept PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account or a credit card, you might want to get a prepaid credit card, as it makes it easier for you to take advantage of their many offers.

Can you tell me more about the purchasing of exclusive W Club dolls?

2021 W Club members are guaranteed the right to purchase the exclusive W Club doll(s) from 2021 only (these dolls are separate from and in addition to the 3 upgrade dolls that you can purchase at registration). The number of W Club exclusive doll(s) produced is based on the number of pre-orders paid. If you do not pre-order the W Club exclusive doll(s) by the designated cut-off date (there is usually about a week-long ordering window), you forfeit your right to purchase that Club doll through the W Club. Also, Club doll(s) from previous years are NOT available to 2021 members- Club dolls are only available during that specific membership year.

Can you explain more about the W Club coupon?

Each W Club membership that you purchase will automatically add a special $25 coupon to your IT Direct Coupon Wallet that can be used towards ANY IT Direct shopping cart purchase of $99 or more online only during the 2021 W Club year! The 5th and final W Club doll is unveiled - A Fashionable Legacy Violaine Perrin!

It was only a matter of days before we got the chance to see the 5th and final W Club doll, and here she is. Integrity Toys and designer Jessy Ayala give us Violaine Perrin in a tribute to A Fashionable Life Vanessa Perrin giftset. The doll and her outfits have elements of that mythical release, without being a direct copy or revision. The set is not as rich as would be expected in that price range, even with the matching mini-carry case packaging that is similar to Sister Moguls gift set from 2016 and will have similar weight as a normal FR gift set package.

I am always a sucker for pale skin combined with raven hair and this lady is no exception, especially now that she is channeling AFL Vanessa. Remember she is not the first Nu Face to get the AFL acronym and colours- A Fabulous Life Rayna Ahmadi was first! The doll itself is perfection, I would not change a thing, except maybe give her a spit curl like her older sister. The clothes are nice in design but lack in execution - some finishes at the jacket look really bad in the photos (if that’s the look of a “raw hem” better leave altogether) and the painted visible seam effect reminds me of Mattel production practices, not Integrity Toys. For this price, these issues should be non-existent.

The jacket seems to take its initial inspiration from this Maison Margiela Fall 2020 one (designed by John Galliano) and then use the original AFL pinstripe suit combined with the original AFL red skirt with visible stitching detail. The romper underneath could be from anywhere, it just mirrors the jacket’s style. The tulle plus the polka dots are the connection between this babydoll dress with the original AFL’s gown. Neither the shoes, jewellery or luggage are remotely connected. The letter choker is a lift from the Versace Fall 2015 one, and many designers have had similarly styled chockers at one time or another. The monogrammed suitcase is a colour variation of the one Fame And Fortune Vanessa had. I am sure we have seen the orthogonal purse before as well. Would have preferred a wheeled upright cabin suitcase like the one the first Elyse had.

Dolly Days 4 give us Wild Feeling Rayna as a W Club doll!

While previous Dolly Days offerings were met with mixed feelings by W Club members, the 4th day met with almost unanimous applause. And that was because it was a beautiful version of Rayna Ahmadi ooered to collectors as the 3rd W Club Doll of 2020. Rayna has not appeared since 2018 so she was highly anticipated, as she was absent from the convention offerings last month. they call this a mini giftset, to justify the price, while the only extra things are a mini skirt and an extra pair of shoes. Micro giftset would be more close to it. She’s probably going to be a very popular club doll.

What a beautiful doll! I love Rayna in most of her incarnations and this one is lovely. Her face in this skin tone and overall colours looks amazing, despite the strong lip liner, which is not to my taste. the darker skin helps to soften that a lot though. The outfit has the vinyl skinny pants shown in Saint Laurent and Balmain for Fall/Winter 2020, with the overall silhouette being closet to the Saint Laurent offerings. She’d look much better in their fur coat though. The bag is the popular Bottega Veneta Shoulder Pouch, one of the It bags lately. Unfortunately it looks like the $175 price is going to be a mainstay. Sigh.
